  • Lower Plastic Jar Prices We are now only selling stock PET Plastic Jars that are made in the USA.

    We began this project several months ago and have now completed the transition. We are now shipping the jars Made in the USA. I have updated the website product descriptions to reflect the new country of origin.

    With the exception of the manufacturer stamp on the bottom of the jar, you will not notice a difference in dimensions of the jar.

    The good news is that this transition lowered all of our 48 piece and full case plastic jar prices. Most prices dropped significantly. In once case a jar was lowered $200 per case!

  • Fragrance Bottle Project We have been working hard to improve the chemical resistance of our fragrance/essential oil bottles.

    I am thrilled to announce that the 18 month project is finally completed.

    Our new package is our standard amber glass bottles with a natural organic ink that is screen printed onto the bottle....then heat sealed to produce the chemical resistence.

  • Pardon the Wait For the next week, please be patient while calling WSP customer service.  

    Rita in customer service needed emergency surgery....she will be out for 4-6 weeks.  We had other staff with scheduled vacations that could not be postponed non refundable deposits.  

    Our phone system was struck by lightening and has not been working properly.

    The good news is that Rita is doing great and we will be having a new phone system installed tonight.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that all will go smoothly.

  • My Day The WSP Forum hosted a special topic on the FDA Globalization Act of 2008.  It was an informative exchange.  I think everyone walked away feeling empowered.  My mind is already swirling with ideas on other guest speakers with special topics.  If you get a chance...stop by the forum and read about this important topic!

    After months of review, I gave purchasing final approval on 21 new fragrance oils.  These include 3 All Natural Fragrance Oils.  You will see these added to the website next week.  I expect them to arrive the week of 7/21.  As I remember, there are 3 new holiday scents and 3 new fall scents.

    I started reading a new book tonight.  It is called "What Happened - Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception" (author:  Scott McClellan).  The preface has a line that caught my eye.  It is:

    "Perhaps God's greatest gift to us in life is the ability to learn from our experiences, especially our mistakes, and grow into better people."

    How true is this statement for business, life and society?

  • Closed - 7/3 and 7/4 On July 4, 1776, the United States claimed independence from Britain and Democracy was born. Every day thousands leave their homeland to come to the "land of the free and the home of the brave" so they can begin their American Dream.

    The United States is truly a diverse nation made up of dynamic people. Each year on July 4, Americans celebrate that freedom and independence with barbecues, picnics, and family gatherings.

    If enacted in its present form, the Food & Drug Administration Globalization Act of 2008 would levy high fees and impose extremely burdensome paperwork obligations on small cosmetics manufacturers and the companies that supply ingredients and supplies to them. Fees would range from $2,000 to $12,000 annually, regardless of the size of your business. Paperwork requirements would include filing an update with the federal government every time you launched a new product or changed an ingredient in an existing one. Companies would also be required to comply with every provision of the Good Manufacturing Practices, without regard for company size or production capacity.
