For days I have searched for a Thanksgiving Day poem that would be perfect.

Perhaps a poem that would speak to those struggling with tough economic situations. Maybe a poem that would express how lucky I feel to have a close family that is healthy and happy.

Well.....I have failed to find a poem that speaks these words.

Holiday Hours - Nov. & Dec. 2008

I am not sure if you are aware but our warehouse has been working this holiday season without two of our seasoned team leaders. Both had unexpected emergency medical leaves.

Our remaining staff has been working overtime. This past Sunday, all company staff also came in to pull and pack orders....this included myself and 7 other office staff members!

Unfortunately, any warehouse work not directly related to filling customer orders, has been neglected. We are in desperately need of an accurate inventory count, rebuilding of shelves in the fragrance/essential oil room and general inventory organization.

In ten years we have never closed for an significant period of time but this year I just don't see any way around it. We need to do maintenance so that our start for 2009 runs smoothly and allows for continued business growth. Therefore our 2008 schedule is as follows:

• Nov. 27 & 28 - Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday.
• Dec. 22 & 23 - Business Closed to Public. Pre-Inventory Begins.
• Dec. 24, 25, 26 - Closed for Christmas Holiday.
• Dec. 29 to Jan. 2 - Business Closed to Public. Inventory Begins.

Our website will remain open and taking orders. Orders placed on or after 12/22 will not ship until the week of Jan. 2nd 2009. The showroom will be closed when business is closed to the public - therefore, we cannot honor pick up orders.

Luxurious Creamy Oil Body Wash

Luxurious Creamy Oil Body Wash

I can not tell you how awesome this product feels on the skin, during and after use! It is great for dry skin as the skin feels moisturized but fully cleansed. Perfect for year round use as it produces an luxurious, creamy lather.

Ingredients:
1 gallon Crafter’s Choice 3 in 1 Body Bubbles
2 oz Crafter’s Choice Soybean Oil
1/2 oz Crafter’s Choice Vitamin E Natural T-50
1 oz Crafter’s Choice True Lilac FO
20 drops Crafter’s Choice Liquid Majestic Purple Color

Directions:
In a mixing bucket, gently blend all ingredients. Over stirring will cause excessive bubbles. Package in a clear PET bottle. Label as directed. Finished product will has a pearl finish.

Tips & Variations:
For a darker or lighter color, add more or less color. If your soap bubbles are colored (not white) with use, then too much color has been used. You may heat this base so that it is thins and is easier to pour into bottles.

Soybean Oil is thought to hydrate and protect skin cells by replenishing the skin’s lipid barrier, helping to in the skins intrinsic moisture while softening dry, chaffed and damaged skin. Studies have shown that this Vitamin E Natural T-50 is the best antioxidant for skincare products.

Shower Sugar Cubes

Shower Sugar Cubes

Ingredients:
16 oz Crafter’s Choice Foaming Bath Whip
16 oz Crafter’s Choice Ultra White MP Soap
32 oz Raw Brown Sugar
2 oz Crafter’s Choice Sexy Vanilla Bean FO
Silicone Square Tray Mold

Directions:
This recipe requires that you weigh your ingredients with a scale. After weighing, place the foaming bath whip and white soap in a glass bowl. (Do not use a hand mixer to whip the foaming bath whip) Heat the contents of the bowl in the microwave until fully melted. Do not boil. Remove from microwave and add fragrance. Weigh the brown sugar and add to the glass bowl. Mix well. Pour into silicone mold. Allow to completely harden. Remove from mold and slice with a straight or wavy soap cutter.

Package cubes in 16 oz Clear Basic Jar or 12 oz Clear Bail Jar. Label as directed. To harden cubes, allow to sit open to the air for 24-48 hours.

Notes:
When making this recipe it is impossible to remove the sugar cubes from a plastic mold. A silicone mold is best. When pouring this recipe it is very, very thick. Due to this consistency an alternative household mold would be a jelly roll pan, glass baking dish or plastic food storage container lined with wax paper. If you do this, you should not use these containers for foods at a later date.

Variations:
After removing the liquefied bases from the microwave, add a small amount of Crafter’s Choice Strawberry Red Liquid Color and 2 oz of Crafter’s Choice Cotton Candy Twist Fragrance Oil. Instead of raw brown sugar, use coarse white sugar (big crystals). These will look like pink sugar cubes.

Additional variations include lemon (yellow), orange vanilla (orange), pomegranate (purple), margarita lime (green).

Testing New Non Bleeding Colors

It has been a fun day working on formulas.

We are in the final stages of blending, testing and soon to be releasing a new line of Crafter's Choice Cosmetic Grade Non-Bleeding Colors. They are bright and vibrant. We are having some slight speckling issues but are excited at the thought of new design opportunities!
