(Yes,I did fill out your survey). I do agree that the FDA needs to step up their game to ensure a safe food source in this country. But I think this Globalization Act is too global! I'd rather see separate acts than to throw a blanket over everything. That said, if this passes as is, it'll put me out of business. I've invested 1000's in getting my business going but have only recovered 100's. I can not afford a $2000. fee. The fear of this even getting a foot hold has stopped me from expanding. I'm only ordering what I feel I will use in the very near future. I am no longer buying nearly as much as I was before and trying to sell what I have on hand. I was going to buy a travel trailer to turn into my shop, but will no longer do that either. Does this act sound like it'll help the economy with that said?<BR/>It's a shame that a few rotten apples has sparked this knee-jerked reaction. I'm thinking there are plenty of regulations on the FDA books that can keep our food safe if they'd just be more diligent on their inspections.The right to provide for one's self and family (and extended family) by making our own simple products may now be taken away. I too will have to stop selling my soap if this happens as I don't make much more than $2,000/year. It is such a blessing to make it at my leisure and get some extra money around the holidays or when we have a big bill due. I would be very interested to know who sponsored this potential bill and who is lobbying for it. It sounds like big business trying to squeeze out the little ones. So many questions. What is the fee for, who will be on the oversight committee, how will they oversee it. And what is all this about listing any adverse reactions. The aroma therapy helps me and others.
